What is your Enterprise career path?

As a former customer of Enterprise, I was intrigued by the customer service I experienced and knew I wanted to be a part of the culture. I was excited about the promote from within opportunities, and I jumped from customer to employee in 2012.

I climbed the ladder and became an Area Manager in five years, and eventually Commute Account Executive in 2020.

What does Pride mean to you?

Pride means being confident in who I am and having the strength to uphold my beliefs and feelings without fear of being treated differently.

Are there issues affecting the global LGBTQ+ community particularly on your mind?

Top of mind is pushing the U.S. Senate to pass the Equality Act into law, which would provide consistent and explicit non-discrimination protections for LGBTQ+ people. The Equality Act law applies across key areas of life, including employment, housing, credit, education, public spaces and services, federally funded programs, and jury service. A person’s rights should not be determined according to the state in which they reside.

What would you tell a member of the LGBTQ+ community interested in starting a career at Enterprise?

We use the term “family” in our Enterprise community on so many levels. There are times when some of our own biological families do not support us, but Enterprise’s family culture creates an environment where my wife and our son always feel welcome. One of our founding values is having an open door policy, which I personally can say is upheld with true integrity.

What excites you about your future at Enterprise?

I joined Enterprise because of the potential to grow based on my performance, but what I’ve learned and excites me, is that we are a team rooting for each other to succeed. Moving through the global pandemic with this team, I saw firsthand the tenacity of a group of individuals and the ability to hunker down and not only survive, but thrive.
