understanding of the local culture and ability to navigate various challenges, including the pandemic. Under his leadership, the team has been praised for outstanding performance and resilience in the face of adversity, defining their unity and strength as a team.

In his career blog, Luis shares what he wishes he knew when he started his career and more about his career journey with the organization.

On building a career.
I wish I had known earlier that a strong career isn’t built on quick promotions—it’s built on your reputation, consistency, and how people trust you when things get tough. Some of my biggest opportunities came not because I asked for them, but because others believed in how I led, how I handled pressure, and how I treated people along the way.

On being a leader.
Early on, I thought leadership was about being the strongest voice in the room. Over time, I’ve learned it’s about listening, admitting when you don’t have all the answers, and building a team that grows with you—not behind you. Leading during my career taught me that empathy and resilience matter more than control.

On operations and the business.
At the beginning, I focused a lot on fixing the immediate issue. But I’ve learned that long-term operational success comes from thinking ahead—developing people who can make even better decisions than you and building a culture that can deliver results no matter the challenge.

What excites you about the future of mobility and Enterprise Mobility’s role in that?

I’m excited about the chance to keep redefining how people, communities, and  businesses move—especially in places like Puerto Rico, where mobility is essential to daily life, economic development, and recovery after disruption. I’ve seen firsthand how Enterprise Mobility doesn’t just provide vehicles, we provide stability, access, and support when it matters most. I’m energized by our company’s commitment to innovation, inclusion, and sustainable growth. Enterprise isn’t simply adapting to the future of mobility—we are actively shaping it, and doing so with purpose. Being part of a company that leads with values, invests in people, and has the scale and vision to make a real impact makes me incredibly proud and optimistic about what’s ahead.

What’s something most jobseekers don’t know about Enterprise Mobility that you think they should?
The organization truly invests in people. From day one, you’re not just given a job, you’re given an opportunity to grow, lead, and make an impact. Enterprise Mobility is a performance-driven culture, but it’s also deeply rooted in values, mentorship, and support.

I’ve experienced how the company identifies talent, provides real leadership opportunities, and stands by you in both good times and in moments of crisis. It’s a place where resilience, ownership, and service to others are rewarded—and where your career can go much further than you imagined if you’re willing to work hard and lead with purpose.

How do you/your team help develop employees who are early on in their careers?
For those early in their careers, we create a structured, hands-on environment where they learn not just the job—but how to lead, how to make decisions, and how to deliver results with integrity.

We prioritize mentorship, visibility, and accountability starting from day one. That means entrusting new employees with meaningful responsibilities early on, offering consistent and constructive feedback, and surrounding them with leaders who are deeply invested in their growth.  Our mission is to show young professionals that they can build long, fulfilling careers here, supported by the right culture, the right guidance, and a team that genuinely believes in them every step of the way.
