Roxanne L., Branch Rental Manager
Heritage: Filipino

Can you share your career journey with Enterprise Mobility?
I began as a Management Trainee in 2021 and have never looked back. Enterprise Mobility has given me countless opportunities to grow, advance, and relocate. Five years later—across two islands and multiple locations—I am back on Maui, where my career began. I am deeply grateful for the experiences, relationships, and growth along the way and excited for the greater things still to come.

Can you share what Asian Heritage Month means to you?
When I think about my Asian heritage, I think of my grandfather, who came to Hawaiʻi to work on a pineapple plantation—paving the way for multiple generations, including my parents and me, to call Maui home. I reflect on the sacrifices my parents made to provide the life I have today, leaving the Philippines—a place of comfort and security—for a new country filled with uncertainty. Those challenges never stopped them from working hard and staying focused on their goals. I’ve seen their sacrifices firsthand and don’t take them lightly. They stay with me, and my Asian heritage defines who I am. I take pride in how my upbringing was shaped by Filipino culture, which is rooted in resilience and “kapwa”—the value of community and helping others without expecting anything in return. I carry this with me wherever I go, and I am deeply proud of it.

What dish from your heritage describes you or your work style?
I’d say "sinigang" best represents my work style. It’s a classic Filipino sour soup found in nearly every Filipino household, known for its balance and adaptability. While it has a familiar, steady sour base, it can be adjusted based on what’s needed—shrimp, pork, fish, more vegetables, or a lighter or stronger broth. That mirrors how I approach my work: flexible to different situations, teams, and challenges while maintaining a strong foundation. Sinigang is also a comforting dish, especially after time away from home. It may not be flashy, but it’s dependable, grounding, and consistently satisfying, particularly during overwhelming moments. That’s how I strive to show up as a leader: steady, supportive, and focused on keeping things running smoothly. And just as sinigang is best enjoyed when shared, my leadership style is collaborative, ensuring everyone is included and the results work for the whole team.

Kevin C., Commute Director
Heritage: Vietnamese

Can you share your career journey with Enterprise Mobility?
I have a unique Enterprise Mobility journey in that my entire 23-year career has been in the Commute division. I started as a part-time college Intern with Enterprise Commute. After earning my college degree, I transitioned from an operations role into outside sales and found success as an Account Manager, Account Executive, and then Sales Manager. In 2016, I had the opportunity to relocate to St. Louis to assist with the vRide acquisition and the integration of the two businesses. Today, I serve as the Commute Director of Sales and Operations for the North Central team. It has been rewarding to grow alongside the Commute division, and I know we have big things ahead!

Can you share what Asian Heritage Month means to you?
It provides an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the historical and cultural impact of Asians. To me, it is a time for sharing and learning. This month allows me to share my Vietnamese heritage, culture, and traditions. Even more rewarding is the chance to learn about other cultures and traditions. I feel like I learn something new all the time about Aisan history and culture.

What dish from your heritage describes you or your work style?
Phở is the dish that best describes my personality and work style. It begins with the broth, which often requires hours to develop its complex and aromatic profile. This mirrors my #1 Clifton Strength, which is discipline.

Julianna D., Assistant Controller
Heritage: Cambodian

Can you share your career journey with Enterprise Mobility?
I began my career with Enterprise Mobility in June 2021 as a Staff Accountant in Washington, D.C. Since then, I have had the privilege of growing within the organization, progressing to Senior Staff Accountant and later to Accounting Supervisor. Each role has allowed me to deepen my technical expertise, build leadership experience, and strengthen my understanding of business management across our operations. Most recently, I continued my career growth by stepping into the role of Assistant Controller in Baltimore. Throughout my journey, I have been grateful for the mentorship, collaborative culture, and continuous learning opportunities that have shaped both my professional development and leadership style.

Can you share what Asian Heritage Month means to you?
Asian Heritage Month holds deep significance for me as a first-generation Cambodian American. My parents came to the United States as refugee survivors of the Cambodian genocide, and their perseverance has shaped both my identity and the opportunities I’ve had in life. This month serves as a meaningful reminder of the history, resilience, and cultural pride carried by so many Asian families, including my own. Because Cambodian New Year falls in April, a month earlier, this time of year also brings a strong sense of celebration and connection to my roots. It’s a moment for me to honor my family’s journey, reflect on the traditions that shaped my upbringing in the greater Washington, D.C. Cambodian community, and celebrate the richness of our culture. Ultimately, Asian Heritage Month reminds me of where I come from and the importance of keeping those stories and traditions alive.

What dish from your heritage describes you or your work style?
A Cambodian dish that reflects my leadership style is Samlor Korko, a traditional “stirring soup” made by bringing many fresh ingredients together in harmony. It’s a dish rooted in collaboration—everyone contributes and works side by side—and it comes together through patience, care, and hands-on guidance. Just like Samlor Korko, my approach to leadership is about leading by example, creating space for teamwork, and staying committed to doing things the right way with integrity and intention.

These stories shared by team members highlight the profound impact that heritage, culture, and community have on their leadership and professional growth.  As we celebrate AANHPI Heritage Month, let us honor the diverse experiences and voices that shape the organization and continue to foster an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
